Infographic: Separatist Terrorism
All group members are focussing on a specific form of terrorism during their individual assignments. The subtopic I am going to focus on is separatist terrorism. Separatist terrorists are sometimes called ‘nationalist terrorists’ and they use terrorism to form a new state or to join another existing nation with which the separatists are closely aligned. A current example of separatist terrorism can be found in Ukraine where Pro-Russian separatist want to join Russia. They use a lot of violence to achieve their goal leading to numerous innocent victims.
Besides the actuality of this topic it is also a subcategory of terrorism and, therefore, strongly related to the main group project theme. It is interesting to thoroughly analyse the data during this individual assignment to deepen the overall group project.
